Kalan G. Horton is currently earning his Ph.D. in strategy from Florida State University's College of Business. Prior to starting his PhD program, he worked for the Boeing Co. in supply-chain management. He fills multiple roles at Florida State as the instructor of record for strategic management and competitive dynamics undergraduate courses; a research mentor in the Undergraduate Research Opportunity Program (UROP); and both teaching and research assistant roles. Kalan's research focuses on two areas, business ecosystems and their evolution as well as the role of ideologies in non-market strategy. Kalan is early in his career as an academic, but has recently received his first publication in the European Management Journal with more works in preparation and under review in top research outlets.
